Moses Ling
Moses Ling, associate professor of architectural engineering at Penn State, has been elected president of the American Society of Civil Engineers Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI). Ling, who has served as president-elect of AEI since last October, will begin his one-year term Oct. 1. He first joined Penn State as an architectural engineering instructor in 1981, becoming an assistant professor in 1986. In 2003, he was named undergraduate program officer and, in 2004, was promoted to associate professor. Earlier in his career, Ling also worked for national architectural engineering firms such as Leo A. Daly Company, Ellerbe and Cannon Design. In both 2009 and 2013, he received the Penn State Engineering Alumni Society Outstanding Advising Award and, in 2011, was honored with the Penn State Excellence in Advising Award. Ling is also a Penn State alumnus, receiving both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architectural engineering from the university.
