The wide range of glass types allow customers to choose the appropriate level of insulation, visible light and solar control to meet diverse requirements.

Toshiba LED Lighting recently launched new high-lumen output LED lamps, the A19 and A21. The energy-efficient lamps serve as direct replacement for 60-watt and 75-watt incandescent bulbs. Ideal for recessed downlights, ceiling fans, sconces, lamps and hanging fixtures, A19 and A21 have rated lives of 25,000 hours. The A19 lamp is available in 2,700K and 4,000K color temperatures and features while the A21 is available in 3,000K and 4,000K color temperatures.

Cleveland Faucet Group has introduced the new Capstone Three-Function Handheld Showering System. The low-cost showering system is built to withstand the rigorous demands of multi-family properties. The new hand-held shower is WaterSense certified to achieve water savings of up to 32 percent, which lowers utility bills and presents less of an environmental impact. The showering system offers two spray options, full massage or pause control. The product also provides the choice of a wall bracket of a 24-inch slide bar, which comes with a bracket assembly and lever for easy height adjustment.

Intus Windows recently announced the new energy-efficient window Premier 78 Alu Mira Advanced. The triple-pane wood windows are offered at a very competitive price, according to the company, and are an excellent choice for efficient PH type windows. The Premier 78 Alu Mira Advanced features pine wood frames with high-density composite foam material that integrates into the window frame to increase efficiency and provide a thermal break in the frame profile. The design utilizes sustainable timber from German and Austrian forestry.

Zurn Industries LLC introduces the Zurn Stainless Steel Point Drain for environments in which sanitary conditions are critical. The unique sloped surface of the drain’s design eliminates the buildup of stagnant water, making the drains far less likely to collect bacteria or other unwanted microorganisms. The corrosion resistant point drains also feature an anti-tilt cover, which provides a safety advantage for work environments. The Zurn Stainless Steel Point Drain is offered in 12-inch, 8-inch or 6-inch sizes.

CertainTeed Ceiling’s Ecophon acoustical fiberglass ceiling panels now feature 3RD Technology, a fiberglass manufacturing method that combines a high-recycled content with a renewable plant-based binding agent. The new binder significantly reduces the environmental impact of the Ecophon product line, according to the company. This reduction is equivalent to removing more than 800 vehicles from the roads.

Acuity Brands Inc. has extended its P Series LED Downlighting Modules from Lithonia Lighting. Now featuring 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch LED modules, the P series operates with an expected service life of 46 years with a wide range of applications. The new P series offers more flexibility and can fit almost any manufacturer’s recessed can-style housing. The series modules are “instant on” and feature Center2Edge technology to dim from full illumination to a single point source, similar to an incandescent lamp.

To offer improved compatibility with glass tints, Pleotint LLC has introduced a new light-gray base color for Suntuitive interlayer. The new light-gray interlayer offers more design flexibility because it is able to take on the tint of the glass it is laminated with, according to Paul Ogburn, vice president of Pleotint. The thermochromic interlayer gradually darkens in response to the rising temperatures of direct sunlight and cools as sunlight darkens. The interlayer returns to a clear, neutral state in cloudy or dark conditions.

Munters FreeDry unit combines the low-cost benefits of cooling-based dehumidification technology with an advanced low temperature desiccant rotor for unequaled moisture removal capacity and 60 percent lower annual operating costs. Instead of using natural gas to reactivate the desiccant wheel, Munters’ FreeDry unit uses the waste heat from the arena’s ice plant. The FreeDry heat pump and multiple-scroll air conditioning compressors enable FreeDry to easily maintain indoor humidity levels even under the most extreme summer outdoor conditions.
