To offer improved compatibility with glass tints, Pleotint LLC has introduced a new light-gray base color for Suntuitive interlayer. The new light-gray interlayer offers more design flexibility because it is able to take on the tint of the glass it is laminated with, according to Paul Ogburn, vice president of Pleotint. The thermochromic interlayer gradually darkens in response to the rising temperatures of direct sunlight and cools as sunlight darkens. The interlayer returns to a clear, neutral state in cloudy or dark conditions. Suntuitive interlayer requires no mechanical or electrical intervention, eliminating threats of failure caused by faulty wiring or temperamental computer systems.
