Battery-Powered Chainsaw

Blount has launched its new Oregon PowerNow 40V MAX Cordless Chainsaw, a battery-powered alternative to gas-powered chainsaws designed to deliver a combination of performance and features. When not in use, the lithium ion battery pack holds a charge for months, so it is ready to use in making cuts for special framing needs, beam pockets, heat registers and more. The chainsaw is equipped to quickly power through multiple floor joists, roofing trusses and glue-lam beams, and gets into spaces difficult to reach with any other method, according to the company.

Along with instant start rather than a pull cord, powerful cutting with no-fade power, and long runtime, the chainsaw is quieter than gas-powered chainsaws currently in use and is silent between cuts.  Weighing just under 11 pounds, the chainsaw is lightweight, easily portable, and offers ergonomic comfort, according to the company.
