Slate Light Roofing Product
EuroShield recently announced the availability of its new EuroLite Slate profile. The roofing product is designed to replicate the look of traditional North American slate, and is a thinner and lighter version of the company’s EuroSlate at a much lower price point competitive with premium asphalt shingles, according to the company.
EuroLite Slate features an “open keyway” design to create an authentic looking appearance in a panelized product similar to asphalt shingles. The panels measure 40 inches wide by 17 inches high, incorporate four slate-like sections each measuring 10 inch by seven and five-eights inch, and install much like asphalt shingles, fastened using standard roofing nails and an adhesive strip along the underside of the butt edge.
The EuroLite Slate weights about two pounds per foot.
