USGBC Preps Virtual Tour of Headquarters

CHICAGO — The U.S. Green Building Council Education Department announced at the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo that it will offer a virtual tour of its Washington, DC headquarters. The tour is still being tested but will be available to users in December.

 

The tour’s three-dimensional model format will feature complimentary courses, videos, podcasts and 3D models of building products and materials. Course topics range from next generation green restroom design to recycled building materials.

 

The tour and its associated courses, which are based on the products deployed in the USGBC offices, qualify for continuing education credit and have been certified or approved by 24 separate professional organizations and regulatory authorities. Additional courses will be added over the next year.

 

The virtual tour was developed by Igloo Studios, which recreated the USGBC headquarters in 3D from CAD drawings and photographs.
