U.S. Green Building Council Launches Effort to Increase Number of Green Schools

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has unveiled its newest initiative, The Center for Green Schools at USGBC. There are nearly 140,000 schools, colleges and universities in the United States; no one has ever counted the buildings, but thousands are barely built to code.
