Tazelaar is responsible for site supervision on a variety of projects, including the Comcast interior build-out in Oak Brook, Illinois. His previous experience includes 21 years at George Sollitt Construction where, as a aenior project manager, he completed various projects that included LEED Silver-certified facilities.

Irvin Pearce, AIA, a founding principal of architectural firm Pearce Brinkley Cease + Lee, has been elected president of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for 2012. He currently serves as co-chair of the Design and Construction Committee for AIA North Carolina’s new Center for Architecture and Design headquarters building.

Nucor Building Systems, a leading manufacturer of metal building systems, promoted Ken Nichols to sales service manager for its division in Terrell, Texas. With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, Nichols has served in a variety of roles for the company, including his previous positions as district sales manager in the South Carolina and Indiana divisions.
Holcim’s Peter Deem was recently awarded the 2012 National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Lifetime Achievement Award. Deem joined the firm as a market manager in 1982. He was named Vice President of Sales for the Western region in 1995 and stayed with Holcim until his retirement in January 2010.
