Micah Vainikka

Minneapolis-based construction and engineering firm Knutson Construction recently promoted Micah Vainikka to corporate director of preconstruction. In this newly created role, Vainikka will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s preconstruction services and leading Knutson’s team of preconstruction and estimating services specialists.

Vainikka first joined Knutson in 2013 as a project engineer before taking a role on the preconstruction team. During his time at the firm, Vainikka has played an integral role in Knutson’s success in winning projects. Vainikka holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is actively involved in the U.S. Green Building Council, where he is a LEED Green Associate.

“Our confidence in Micah’s ability to lead, develop, and grow a best-in-class team of preconstruction and estimating professionals is vital to Knutson’s ongoing success and differentiation in the markets we serve,” said Brendan Moore, president of Knutson, in a statement. “With Micah our preconstruction and estimating services across all our markets, our customers will experience continued innovation that anticipates and minimizes friction during the preconstruction phase.”
