Chad Dorgan
McCarthy Building Companies announces that Chad Dorgan, vice president, quality and sustainability, has been named a 2014 LEED Fellow by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Throughout Dorgan’s 25-plus year career in the engineering, consulting and construction industries, he has played a significant role in the evolution of sustainability in the built environment. Prior to joining McCarthy in 2005, he spent four years as a mechanical engineer in the US Air Force and the next 12 as president of Dorgan Associates. At McCarthy, Dorgan led the development and implementation of the firm’s innovative national Quality Without Question program and McCarthy’s Green Curriculum. Dorgan is also a Fellow member with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), winning a variety of awards including the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers and the Construction Specifications Institute.
