TRENTON, N.J. — Registration is open for the third annual East Coast Green Conference, titled “Re: Thinking Green.”

The Conference, sponsored the Committee on the Environment of the New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-NJ), opened registration on April 13 in honor of Architecture Week, a weeklong celebration that aims increase public awareness of architecture.

Port of LA PD Earns LEED Gold

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — The Port of Los Angeles earned LEED Gold certification for its new Los Angeles Port Police Headquarters building, the first LEED Gold building in San Pedro.

The new building, which Port Police recently moved into, was designed with sustainable features that include pervious paving, landscaped bio-filtration/stormwater retention areas, high-reflectance paving and cool roof materials to reduce heat island impacts.

Victory Park, Dallas to See New Office Building

DALLAS — A new design is in place for the 400,000-square-foot Victory Park mixed development planned for downtown Dallas.

The Dallas-based design firm Boka Powell designed the 23-story Class A office tower with 14 floors of office space above an eight-story parking structure.

The tower can accommodate floor plate sizes that range from 25,000 square feet to 54,000 square feet, the size of a large trading floor, according to the firm.
