Energy Management Companies Form Strategic Alliance

SAN MATEO, Calif. — C3, an energy and emissions management solutions provider, formed a strategic alliance with Science Applications International Corp. to offer robust, scalable, secure energy management solutions to large commercial, industrial, and utility businesses, as well as government departments and agencies.

Science Applications will also use the C3 solution to model, analyze, and optimize energy use at its own facilities.

Multilevel DC Power Demo Unveiled

SAN RAMON, Calif. — The EMerge Alliance — an open industry association aimed at facilitating the rapid adoption of safe DC power distribution standards for commercial buildings — unveiled its first multilevel DC power demonstration to show the hybrid AC-DC power concept for a building at the Greenbuild Conference in Toronto.

The demonstration showcased a range of DC power applications available currently, as well as those that will be available in the future, said Brian Patterson, chairman of the Emergence Alliance.

AHRI Earns ‘Super Nova of Energy Efficiency’ Award

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute was awarded the "Super Nova of Energy Efficiency" award from the Alliance to Save Energy on Oct. 4 at the Dinner with the Stars of Energy Efficiency awards gala in Washington, D.C.
