Hi-Flo ES by Camfil Farr is a high-efficiency ASHRAE-grade pocket filter that uses 27 percent to 50 percent less HVAC energy and has a 25 percent to 30 percent longer service life than competitive filters, according to the manufacturer. Key to the performance of the Hi-Flo ES is a high lofted, air laid micro fiberglass media, and a pocket configuration. The manufacturer also boasts that the filter is inherently green because fewer filter changes are needed, creating savings in labor cost, inventory and disposal. Its high-impact ABS header frame is recyclable, and three to four used Hi Flo filters fit in the same space as one rigid filter, producing a 70 percent reduction in related landfill cost, and a substantial reduction in carbon footprint.
