Melrose faces deadline to adopt green building code

When she spoke at Melrose City Hall on April 1 to explain the regulations of the so called stretch energy code a new, more rigorous building code that Melrose may adopt next month green community consultant Eliza Johnston faced a group of people versed in the construction trade: builders, local energy commission members, other energy consultants, and city planning officials.
