NEW YORK — A new office building at 425 Park Avenue in New York is currently under construction and will be one of the nation’s first commercial office towers to be WELL Building Standard-certified. WELL standards set guidelines focused on human health and wellness for the design and construction of a building.
WASHINGTON — Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), headquartered in Washington, and the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), based in Ottawa, Ontario, announced a new agreement to promote and advance the WELL Building Standard (WELL) in Canada.
The WELL Building Standard is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring features that impact human health and wellbeing, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind. It complements other green building rating systems such as LEED.
WASHINGTON — Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) officially launched the Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal (PEER) rating system designed to verify sustainable electricity system performance on April 29.
