New School U. Expands
NEW YORK — The New School University recently introduced a plan to build a $353 million, 365,000-square-foot university hub on its Greenwich Village campus.

OSU Facility is First Gold Certified Academic Engineering Building
CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Kelley Engineering Center at Oregon State University is the first academic engineering building in the United States to receive LEED gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The $45 million, four-story center opened in fall 2005. The building is designed to have a minimized environmental footprint.
The 153,000-square-foot structure is home to the university’s school of electrical engineering and design, and it provides a research laboratory, classrooms and office space for more than 450 people.

DENVER —The Museum of Contemporary Art broke ground on its new $15 million building set to open in June 2007.
The 27,000-square-foot facility, designed by architect David Adjaye, will house five galleries on two levels, which will hold exhibits from local, regional, national and international artists of the 21st century. Two additional spaces will be designated for educational purposes, one on the roof, with a garden, and one on the lower level. Mortenson Construction will manage construction of the facility.
