Appointed as a new interior designer for Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design, Lisa Dockray is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design. Certified by the National Council of Interior Design, Dockray also holds certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Green Associate.
Anne Taylor Carros, LEED AP, has been promoted to the position of director of marketing and communications at Lord, Aeck & Sargent. Previously, Carros had served as the company’s marketing manager since early 2006. She oversees nationwide marketing and communications for the firm’s Michigan, Texas and North Carolina offices.
Newly appointed vice president of SourceOne, Rick Smith, is now responsible for the operations at SourceOne’s California-based projects and contracts, providing services in energy management, efficiency improvements, and engineering solutions. He also oversees the company’s expansion plans and business development activities. Based at the firm’s new West Coast office in Los Angeles, Smith holds several years of experience at SourceOne and in the energy industry.
A 30-year veteran of the company, Pamela House, senior accountant at Gilbane Building Company, received the Crystal Achievement Award from the National Association of Women in Construction in recognition of her work to enhance the success of women in the construction industry.
David F. Hales was selected president and CEO of Second Nature. Prior to his new role, Hales was the fifth president of College of the Atlantic, where under his leadership, the school was recognized as a net-zero emitter of greenhouse gases.
Technical director for the New Buildings Institute, Mark Frankel, AIA, ASHRAE, LEED AP, has been nominated to the board of directors of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). A member of USGBC’s Cascadia Chapter since 2006, Frankel is currently involved in national coalitions to market strategies for energy retrofits and in the development and implementation of programs focused on building performance.
Newly appointed project estimator of Joerin General Contractors Ltd., Brian Rosamond, LEED AP, has spent 24 years in the construction industry. He will be based in the company’s Dallas Fort Worth office. Leading professionals in estimating, design assistance, value management, and integrated project delivery process of design-build or design-assist, Rosamond has served in all phases of construction.
Charlie Hall has been chosen to represent U.S. Green Buiding Council member, Tubelite, as the new client development manager in Virginia. He will be working with G. Bowie and Associates. As part of the manufacturer’s representative team, Hall will provide Tubelite’s glazing contractors and architectural clients with storefront, curtainwall, entrance and daylighting systems.
Stuart R. Werner is now the new vice president of business development for Virtual Builders Exchange, LLC, where he will be responsible for all sorts of business, including marketing and sales operations. Serving three of the firm’s regional offices, he will work closely with clients in San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.
