Knauf’s EcoBatt Glasswool is a thermal acoustical fiberglass installation. The product contains a minimum of 30 percent post-consumer recycled glass bottle content. The binder, ECOSE, is made from rapidly renewable bio-based materials, instead of petroleum-based chemicals. This technology is a binder that contains no phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics or artificial colors, and is up to 70 percent less energy-intensive than traditional binders. The product comes in a variety of widths, R-values, densities and facings.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Consensus Body of the Green Building Initiative (GBI), headquartered in Portland, recently called for public comments on a revision to its American National Standards Institute, ANSI/GBI 01-2010: Green Building Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings. GBI — a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to accelerate the adoption of green building practices — began revising the standard in 2014.

Drew University Adds New LEED Student Center
