HDR’s announced the winners of its 12th annual Sustainability Stewards Program Awards program, which recognizes employees who are making outstanding environmental and social impacts in their communities. Anna Perry, AICP, Transportation Engineer-in-training, was named Sustainability Steward of the Year for their efforts to focus on everyday sustainability improvements that make an impact in both the Orlando office and across HDR’s Florida offices. Examples include implementing a composting program and developing sustainable practices for group meetings. Perry first joined HDR in 2021 as a transportation planning intern and later served as a civil CADD technician and transportation planner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from University of Central Florida, where they are also pursuing a master’s degree in city/urban, community and regional planning.
