Shane Doig

Shane Doig, CCP, CxA, LEED AP, has been promoted to principal at Säzän Group, bringing over 25 years of expertise in building commissioning, diagnostics, and energy-efficient design for K-12, higher education and public sector projects. Since beginning his career in 1998, Doig has contributed to notable projects such as the P-834 Seawolf Pier Extension, the Washington Military Department Energy Audit and the Highline High School Replacement project. Joining Säzän Group in 2019 as commissioning manager at the company’s Seattle office, Doig demonstrated extensive technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building envelopes, as well as proficiency in LEED-certified projects and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. 

Actively involved in industry organizations, including the Building Commissioning Association (BCA), the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), and the WA Association for Maintenance & Operation Administrators (WAMOA), Doig has contributed to advancing best practices in the field. In his new role as principal, he is poised to continue driving innovation and delivering sustainable, high-performing building systems through his solutions-focused approach.
