Health Facility to Achieve LEED Silver
CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Medical University of South Carolina has added an eleventh location; the MUSC Health East Cooper Facility.
The 80,000-square-foot outreach facility offers 92 treatment rooms with 60 physicians that rotate in and out of the building and a full line of imaging.
Services include: orthopedics, rheumatology, endocrinology, family medicine, neurology, pediatric neurology, ENT, neurosurgery, maternal-fetal wellness, oncology and cancer infusion services.

Brad Glauser has joined Wausau Window and Wall Systems as its architectural sales representative, serving the Northwestern states of Washington, Oregon and northern Idaho. Glauser works closely with the area’s building owners, architects, general contractors and glazing contractors and is based in Everett, Wash.
In recognition for her leadership at the forefront of the green schools movement, and working to make healthy, energy-efficient schools accessible, Rachel Gutter received the World Green Building Council Chairman’s Award. Serving as director of the Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council, Gutter came to USGBC in 2007 to oversee the launch of LEED for Schools and spearheaded the National Green Schools Campaign.
NEW YORK — Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2012 survey of the Top 100 Green Design Firms recognized firms from around the country, including San Francisco-based URS Corp, who ranked number one on this year’s list. 
As one of two middle schools in the nation to achieve platinum status, the new Casey Middle School has risen from the site of its 88-year-old predecessor.
Vice President of corporate research and development, Dr. Timothy Swales, has assumed the additional role of chief sustainability officer at Johns Manville. Swales’ previous positions within JM included director of research and development as well as director of innovation and commercialization for the engineered products business.
