CNPV Solar Enters North American Market
SHANDONG PROVINCE, China — CNPV Solar Power, a Chinese manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products with offices in Luxembourg, announced that it has earned Underwriters Laboratory certifications in the United States and Canada for its premium range of crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic modules. CNPV now plans to open sales offices in Canada and California, where it hopes for a listing with the California Energy Commission, according to reports.
CNPV COO Veerraju Chaudary, says in reports that the UL certification validates that the company’s crystalline solar photovoltaic module design and manufacturing processes comply with CEC’s strict requirements for functional, mechanical and safety capabilities to guarantee long-term performance in open air environments.
California is presently seeing a hotbed of activity around huge solar projects with funding for many projects coming from federal stimulus dollars, and is set to run out by the end of the year. The CEC recently said it anticipated approving five large projects before the end of December.
Chaundary added that his company looked forward to working closely with UL and other international testing organizations as they continued to improve their research and developmental efforts for both new products and new product features to meet the expanding needs of their customers.
