Green council gives PNC Downtown branch silver certification
The U.S. Green Building Council gave the Downtown branch inside PNC Bank’s headquarters a silver certification for commercial interiors, giving the bank its 73rd “green” building certification, including nine in Western Pennsylvania.

Tubelite Inc. introduces the Therml=Block 300ES curtainwall, made with Ecoluminum, a high recycled-content aluminum billet composition. The product contains a minimum of 80 percent reclaimed aluminum. The system can be installed from the building’s interior or exterior. It features a 1.5-inch thermal strut and accommodates one-inch-thick insulating glass.
