Sunshine will keep the lights on at Calaveras Countys new courthouse. According to preliminary plans approved this week by the State Public Works Board, the $43.6 million project will qualify for silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, developer of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, rating system.
