USGBC Announces Web Improvements

CHICAGO — The U.S. Green Building Council announced several improvements to its Internet offerings at the 2007 Greenbuild conference.

The council has relaunched its official website, www.usgbc.org , in an effort to make it cleaner, smarter and easier to use. The site includes a resource section designed to make LEED project credit templates more accessible, online reference guides and LEED reference documents, and a comprehensive listing of educational opportunities, among other features.

Greenbuild365.org was launched by the council and provides free and fee-based courses on green building technologies and innovations and training for applying for LEED certification for design, construction and operation. The site is supported with a $1 million donation from United Technologies Corp.

Greenhomeguide.org was launched by the council and is designed to give homeowners, buyers, renters, landlords and others tools to ensure their homes are healthy and environmentally friendly.
