CSI, USGBC Plan to Collaborate
CHICAGO — The Construction Specifications Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council signed a memorandum of understanding at the 2007 Greenbuild conference that promotes an open exchange of ideas and information on green building and maintenance practices.
The two organizations plan to find ways to collaborate and utilize their continuing education networks and training programs for building product manufacturers and designers. The document outlines several areas of joint interest with the two organizations, including development of documentation practices and procedures.
CSI is a national association that is dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery. The organization is composed of 146 chapters and more than 15,000 members that include specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors and materials suppliers.
