Sitton

Doug Sitton, president of Sitton Consulting Group in Belleville, Ill., passed the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Accredited Professional exam. He developed the construction management and management consulting firm in July 2007 after spending almost 30 years in the design and construction industry.


The New York City Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council elected Craig Norsted, AIA, LEED AP, to be the chapter representative for its national Green Schools Campaign. His role will center on providing outreach to municipal and state school boards and presenting green building practices to district governments and local decision makers. Norsted is an architect with New York-based architecture and design firm Perkins Eastman, a company that focuses on LEED certification guidelines in school design.


Ashley McGraw Architects P.C., an architectural firm specializing in institutional and educational design with a focus on green and sustainable architecture, promoted Sandra March to chief marketing officer at its Syracuse, N.Y. office. She started her career with the firm 16 years ago as director of business development.

In addition, the firm hired four new members at its Syracuse, N.Y. office. Deborah Rhea, Ph.D., joined the team as chief operating and financial officer. Lauren Staniec, ASID, LEED AP, joined the firm’s interior design team; Louis Boisnier, AIA, joined the architectural practice; and Scott Folts, RA, LEED AP, who previously worked for the firm for five years, returned upon completion of a master’s degree.

Chelsea Bell was hired by San Diego-based Oster and Associates, an advertising and public relations agency that works with environmentally conscious organizations, as account coordinator. She joined the company as an intern in early 2007.


Solar-powered equipment manufacturer PV Powered Inc., of Bend, Ore., hired Terry Sholin as director of business development. In his new role, he will work to expand the markets for the company’s solar inverter products. Sholin previously worked at SatCon where he was responsible for business development of commercial renewable energy approaches.
