Derek Wood, AIA, LEED AP, a Senior Architect for FOX Architects, was promoted to the position of Associate. He currently serves at FOX’s base building studio and the Building Information Modeling leader for the firm. With14 years of experience and 5 years with FOX, Wood is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, his prominent projects include: 440 First Street, 1400 Crystal Drive, and 2175 K Street in Washington, D.C.
SVTC Technologies named Gunter Ziegenbalg the company’s new president. In his role, Ziegenbalg will focus on growing the firm’s global solar business as well as defining, establishing, and overseeing the photovoltaic manufacturing development facility.
The Alliance to Save Energy is saddened by the Sept. 17 passing of its creator and co-founder Charles Percy. From the Alliance’s inception in the 1970s, Percy served the organization and its mission, first as chair of the board of directors from 1977 through 1982, then as co-chair through 1989. He continued to participate actively in the Alliance until his health declined in the early 2000s.
