Kirei provides elegant, functional design with a healthy helping of sustainability. The company recently introduced VEE Tile, the newest addition to its EchoPanel product line. The tile combines visually definitive design, acoustic absorption and a minimized profile to provide architects and interior designers with new design possibilities for high-traffic and noisy areas. Made from recycled plastic, the tile’s slim, 12-milimeter profile is counteracted by a grooved crosshatch design and acoustically absorbent material, altering background sound from distracting to energizing. Retaining up to 36 percent of ambient noise, the environmentally friendly tile eases the sound in any space, particularly in the human voice range. The tile transforms spaces with easy installation by adhesive, mechanical fasteners or aluminum moldings for mounting. Sold in boxes of 10, the design tiles are available in more than 13 colors with print customization to be available soon.
