USGBC Reveals Top 10 States for LEED
WASHINGTON — Illinois ranks first in this year’s list of the Top 10 States for LEED, which was determined by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Vasakronan Achieves LEED EB:OM
NEW YORK — The largest LEED Volume certification outside of North America has been awarded to Vasakronan, Sweden’s largest property owner.
New York-based Thornton Tomasetti, an international engineering consulting firm based in New York, helped manage the LEED Existing Building Operations + Maintenance (EB:OM) process for Vasakronan, acting as a liaison with the Green Building Certification Institute, facilitating the initial sustainable design charrette, developing the EB:OM prototype, and hosting a series of workshops and reviews.
Bloomberg Recognized for Sustainability
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Sustainability Roundtable, Inc, (SR Inc) based in Cambridge, has recognized New York City-based Bloomberg as the Sustainable Business & Enterprise Roundtable’s (SBER) Outstanding Corporate Leader of 2014.
SR Inc is a private research firm that encourages best practices for incorporating sustainability in businesses. SR Inc assists dozens of global companies in developing and managing strategies to move their operations to greater sustainability.
Rob McAtee
Virginia-based design firm, Hankins & Anderson (H&A) announced Rob McAtee, PE, LEED AP BD+C, CEM, CxA, as its new director of energy and sustainability services. McAtee began his career at H&A in 2003 and served as the director of mechanical engineering for eight years. He was promoted to vice president in 2010. He has more than 20 years experience in the design, analysis and enhancement of building energy systems.
