MILWAUKEE — Vegetal i.D., a Milwaukee company that specializes in green roofing systems, is working with Wisconsin groups to pilot a project that will test innovations in green infrastructure and storm water management.
NEW YORK — The Princeton Review has revealed its annual list of the most environmentally friendly colleges and universities. Known for its collegiate rankings based on education, the company also scores schools by their sustainability-related practices, policies and academic offerings.
WASHINGTON —Bureau Veritas has partnered with the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) to help verify projects for LEED certification. Acting on behalf of GBCI, Bureau Veritas’ certification services will expand the global scope of the LEED system. The institute announced the agreement on July 31.
The Green Building Initiative (GBI) has certified Lawrence (Larry) Clark, principal of Sustainable Performance Solutions LLC (SPS), as a Guiding Principles Compliance Professional. Clark completed training and passed a final exam in order to become qualified to assist federal facilities in meeting the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Guiding Principles mandated by executive order (EO) 13514.
Opiary, a Princeton, N.J.-based green design studio, will show a series of new terraformed products at NY NOW, an artisan event in New York that begins Aug. 17 and ends on Aug. 20.
