WASHINGTON — This month, the USGBC is having its sixth — and likely final — public comment period for LEED v4, the latest update to the LEED rating systems, which will be voted on this summer. The USGBC is encouraging everyone to look at the most recent draft of the rating systems and provide comments on changes made since the last draft.
MOLINE, Ill. — Phase II of the Western Illinois University Quad Cities (WIU-QC) Riverfront Campus in Moline broke ground Aug. 29, and like Phase I, will be constructed using several green building elements. SAN DIEGO — On Feb. 20, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded a total of five medical centers and universities with the Energy Star Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Award for their efforts to reduce emissions while increasing energy efficiency. The awards were presented at the International District Energy Association’s Annual Campus Energy Conference in San Diego.
