PHG Energy, a Tennessee-based alternative energy company, welcomed Robert Cox as the firm’s new national sales manager. Cox has more than 16 years of professional experience in the design and implementation of regenerative thermal oxidizers, recuperative thermal oxidizers, regenerative catalytic oxidizers and various other environmental control systems.
PULASKI, N.Y. — Five upstate New York companies received a total of nearly $250,000 as part of a program to promote the commercialization of innovative green and clean technologies.
The Syracruse Center of Excellence and CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity awarded the grant part of its Commercialization Assistant awards.
The program, which aims to keep environmentally focused businesses in the region, has awarded more than $1.3 million to 26 upstate New York companies since 2001.
WASHINGTON — The president’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2013 includes $27.2 billion in discretionary funds to the Department of Energy and $8.3 billion to the Environmental Protection Agency, making up 15 percent and 22 percent of the total $3.8 trillion budget proposed budget, respectively.
The Department of Energy’s proposed budget is 3.2 percent more than last year’s, while the EPA’s proposed budget was 1.2 percent below the 2012 level.
