Solar X-Pump Block

The new Solar X-Pump Block from Taco combines a variable speed solar differential temperature control, bronze collector and storage tank circulators, and a stainless steel flat plate heat exchanger as a single package. The variable speed controls are designed to match solar collector output in order to increase system performance by 20 percent, and require four pipe connections for easy installation.

 

The Solar X-Pump Block can be set up to maintain a temperature differential between the solar collectors and up to two storage tanks, and can support a booster pump as part of a drain-back system. The X-Pump Block comes with a heat dump option and freeze protection and its LCD screen displays the amount of thermal energy harvested by the collector when an optional flow meter is installed. The system also comes with three sensors.
