Center for Energy Efficiency

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Ingersoll Rand recently debuted its Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, an organization created within the company to provide information on energy-efficient technologies for commercial buildings and select industrial applications.

 

In St. Paul, the announcement was coupled with a ceremony dedicating Trane’s White Bear Lake facility as a LEED Gold certified building. Trane is a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand.

 

Led by Scott Tew, the CEES will collaborate with government and non-government partners — including universities and private-sector firms — to market energy-efficient technologies. The center plans to accomplish this through research, scholarships, seminars and other forums.

 

“The center will be more than just an idea,” Tew says. “The center will actually be a dedicated group that will have a mandate to integrate sustainable principles in every facet of our business.”
 

Ingersoll Rand is currently assembling green teams to help make the communities where it operates more environmentally responsible. The CEES will announce partners and projects focused on environmental sustainability in the coming months.
