Groups Join to Develop New Version of the International Green Construction Code

WASHINGTON — Washington, D.C.-based International Code Council (ICC) and Atlanta-based American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) have signed the final agreement that outlines each organization’s role in the development and maintenance of the new version of the International Green Construction Code (IgCC).

CHICAGO — Energy-efficient elevators can significantly reduce the costs of operating a building, but the information needed to help building owners identify the appropriate elevator system — and the savings associated with it — aren’t readily available, according to a new study.
