David Bostwick, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has been named HDR’s justice principal for the Central Region. As a 29-year veteran in the criminal justice field, his particular specialty is in providing consulting services to justice clients for jails, courthouses, law enforcement facilities and prisons.
Lewis Perkins has been appointed president of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute by the institute’s Board of Directors. Perkins had been serving as the organization’s interim president since October 2015. He first joined the institute as senior vice president in 2012, prior to which he was director of sustainable strategies for The Mohawk Group.
D. Stephenson Construction Inc., the largest African American-owned general contracting firm in Florida, announced the appointment of Joseph Sanches as the company’s new president. Sanches has been with the firm for almost three years, previously serving as executive vice president. Prior to joining the company, Sanches was chief of support operations for the Palm Beach County School District, where he oversaw more than $2 billion in capital improvements.
Nicholas Rich has been named a vice president in the Seattle buildings sector office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization. In his new position, Rich will head the office’s electrical department, managing projects in Seattle and throughout the Northwest. Some of the firm’s recent clients in the region include the University of Washington and Amazon.
HDR appointed Burcin Moehring, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, a new education, science and technology principal at HDR’s Seattle architecture office, to the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories Emerald City Chapter’s board of directors. The chapter will bring awareness in the building sector for creating resource-effective and environmentally responsible research and development of facilities.
Architecture and interior design firm CetraRuddy, based in New York, announced the hiring of Kevin Nasello, LEED AP BD + C, as senior associate. An experienced designer and project manager with a focus on sustainability, Nasello, who had previously worked at CetraRuddy as an associate architect from 2004 to 2011, will help manage many of the firm’s projects.
Jarrod Sterzinger, AIA, LEED AP, has been named principal with O’Connell Robertson, a Texas-based architecture, engineering and interior design firm with offices in San Antonio and Austin. Sterzinger has been a shareholder and senior associate with the firm, and was promoted in recognition of his commitment and contributions to the firm’s success. Sterzinger also serves as the firm’s K-12 education team director.
Karl Kreutziger has been promoted to president of C.W. Driver Companies, a building firm serving the Western United States since 1919. For the past five years, Kreutziger served as president of Driver SPG, a division of C.W. Driver Companies, which focuses on specialized new construction, renovation and tenant improvement projects.
Bond, a 108-year-old construction management and general contracting firm, announced that Project Manager and Historic Restoration Specialist Pamela Bailey, LEED AP, has been inducted as an overseer for Boston Architectural College. Bailey has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, much of it focused on the restoration and preservation of landmark buildings.
Dewberry announced the hire of Stuart Rogers, PE, LEED AP, as the new senior project manager in the firm’s Tampa, Fla., office. He will be responsible for enhancing the firm’s site/civil and land planning and development operations across the West Coast of Florida. He has served as principal-in-charge, project manager, design engineer and engineer-of-record for a variety of public and private sector development projects in the region.
