University of California System Commits to Going Green
OAKLAND, Calif. — The University of California (UC) public university system, based in Oakland, is on track to meet its commitment to emitting zero-net greenhouse gases from its buildings by 2025, according to a sustainability report released this month.


NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame has strived for years to improve its sustainability efforts and become a model for environmental friendliness.
PC Construction of South Burlington, Vt., has announced the promotion of Joseph Picoraro, LEED AP, to the position of vice president. Picoraro most recently served as construction executive at the firm. Picoraro joined PC Construction as an estimator upon graduating from the University of Vermont with a civil engineering degree.
O’Donnell & Naccarato, a Philadelphia-based consulting structural engineering firm, announced the promotion of Scott M. Bauer, PE, SECB, LEED AP to principal. Bauer brings his technical proficiency and strengths in management to this new role, as well as nearly two decades of hands-on structural engineering design experience.
