AceClamp/PMC Industries’ AceClamp A2 is a non-penetrating, standing seam metal roof solar kit that is stronger than most single set-screw clamps, and won’t scratch the roof panel when installed. The AceClamp A2 is designed with a grounding cable groove in the body of the clamp specifically for use with racking systems. A stainless steel sleeve and set-screw hold the grounding wire in place, with no worries about torque back-out. The AceClamp A2 Push-Pin and washer design locks into the clamp to prevent loosening when subjected to seismic or wind flutter vibration loads.

Colt Group’s Firelight glazed natural ventilators install easily in a glass atrium or directly onto the roof of a building. This dual-purpose product provides buildings with both day-to-day ventilation and smoke control to aid building evacuation in the event of a fire. Firelight is available in single- or double-leaf design and with control options for automated climate control in a building. Naturally ventilated buildings are generally less expensive to construct and maintain than those that are mechanically ventilated alone.

Johnson Controls has released a new series of pneumatic-to-digital thermostats, the WT-4000. The series efficiently converts older pneumatic room control systems and enables communication with newer digital building automation systems. It also provides the benefits of a digital control system, including programmable occupancy scheduling and remote temperature monitoring, which can result in increased energy and operational savings.

Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP) doors with exterior aluminum frames from ASSA ABLOY group brands Ceco Door, CURRIES and Fleming are now GREENGUARD Gold-certified, meaning the products have been tested for low chemical emissions and are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. Additionally, the GREENGUARD Gold-certified products can be used to earn credits for CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) and LEED.

Designed to replace less-efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), MaxLite launched 5- and 7-watt LED PL Retrofit Lamps with GU24, GX23 and G24q pin base options. The new lamps easily retrofit a variety of commercial fixtures, including recessed cans, sconces and ceiling fixtures. The 5- and 7-watt LEDs replace 13- and 18-watt CFLs, respectively. Constructed with a lamp holder that rotates 270 degrees, the lamps feature a simple ballast bypass to ensure maintenance-free, energy-saving operation and higher performance.

A powerful take on modern lighting design, DRS and Associates introduced the Tantrum LED, which enhances any project with its bold, sculptural style. Comprised of flat, soft-edged squares in a cascading configuration, Tantrum is available in two unique finishes: white with stainless accents and bronze with brass accents. At its core is a high-powered LED light engine enhanced by an opal diffuser and dimmable with incandescent dimmers. Tantrum is handcrafted from aluminum and is available in four pendant sizes as well as an LED wall sconce.
