Forest Product Certification Sparks Debate in LEED 2012
As it revises LEED standards in 2012, the U.S. Green Building Council is considering amendments to forest product certification, a subject that has sparked debate among members of the forestry industry and other stakeholders.
Loyd Guillot
TAS Energy has named Loyd Guillot its new director of the Modular Data Centers business. Located in the company’s headquarters in Houston, Texas, Guillot has been responsible for product development and identifying growth opportunities in the data center market over the last four years. Outdoor Organic Bonding Sand
EnviroSand from EnviroBond is a stabilized joint sand for redoing driveways, walkways, and patios. It combines traditional jointing sand and an organic glue made from a renewable plant resource and designed to form an adhesive gel that binds sand particles with water. When spread among paving stones, the formed gel protects the sand from washing away and creates a toxic environment to prevent weeds from sprouting, according to the company.

Registration Open for East Coast Green Conference
TRENTON, N.J. — Registration is open for the third annual East Coast Green Conference, titled “Re: Thinking Green.”
The Conference, sponsored the Committee on the Environment of the New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-NJ), opened registration on April 13 in honor of Architecture Week, a weeklong celebration that aims increase public awareness of architecture.
