Convenience Products, manufacturer of Touch ‘n Seal insulating foams and sealants, introduces the Storm Bond Roof Tile Adhesive. Storm Bond uses one-component polyurethane adhesive to attach clay and concrete roof tiles. According to the firm, it offers superior bonding strength compared to traditional methods of installation with mortar, nails, or screws. Compliant with the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code, Storm Bond can withstand wind speeds of over 150 mph.
LED Retrofit Downlights
Nora Lighting expands its Diamond Series of LED Retrofit Downlights with the introduction of a new 4-inch model for existing sites, new construction and remodel installations. The energy-saving Diamond Series is recommended for applications requiring high lumen output and minimal light source identification. With a 3.5-inch aperture, the 4-inch model replaces inefficient incandescent light sources and is cULus-rated for existing 4-inch IC and non-IC housings. It retrofits housings with medium base and GU-24 sockets and is also hardwire adaptable and dimmable to five percent.

Charles Percy
The Alliance to Save Energy is saddened by the Sept. 17 passing of its creator and co-founder Charles Percy. From the Alliance’s inception in the 1970s, Percy served the organization and its mission, first as chair of the board of directors from 1977 through 1982, then as co-chair through 1989. He continued to participate actively in the Alliance until his health declined in the early 2000s.
University Nuclear Energy Research Gets $17 Million Grant
