SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — San Anselmo and Fairfax heard presentations this month from the Marin Green Building, Energy Retrofit and Solar Transformation Collaborative, a countywide task force created to promote energy conservation in building practices.

Abengoa Solar Inc., under contract to Johnson Controls Inc., is installing a turnkey solar hot water heating system at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Englewood, Colorado.

Charlevoix City and county are slated to receive a grand total of $178,707 in two green grants from the federal government.
