AMHERST, Ma. — The University of Massachusetts (UMass) recently celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its $52 million, energy-efficient Design Building. A veteran in the industry with 29 years of experience, Marquardt comes to HDR after leading his own successful interdisciplinary design and branded environments studio in Chicago, which he founded in 1988.
