Atlas Copco unveiled a new range of highly efficient vacuum pumps. The GHS VSD+ series promises energy savings of roughly 50 percent compared to conventional vacuum pumps. The GHS 350-900 VSD+ range, incorporates state-of-the-art variable speed drive technology, which enables vacuum generation to adapt precisely to the user’s requirements as part of a central supply system. Coupled with an innovative motor design, the new range sets new standards for energy efficiency of vacuum pumps, resulting in a dramatic reduction in the total cost of ownership.

Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics announced the release of a 156-watt, low profile, explosion-proof string light set that provides operators with a powerful and energy-efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location portable stringers. The EPL-SL-3-LP24-LED string light set contains a total of three, 52-watt LED work lights, producing a combined total of 20,280 lumens of light. Each fixture is equipped with aluminum hooks and connected in a series along 40 feet of cord. These Class 1 Division 1 LED lights are connected together with 20 feet of cable between each light.

The AER-DEC Integrated Sink by Sloan is the perfect innovation for any high-end washroom. The soap dispenser, faucet, hand dryer and sink basin are all designed to work together as one touch-free, hygienic and highly efficient system. The AER-DEC allows designers to keep a clean look throughout the washroom by eliminating soap dispensers and hand dryers on the walls and bringing them onto the deck. It features a soap dispenser, faucet and high-speed hand dryer. The faucet uses Active Infrared technology and helps save water with its automatic shutoff feature.

MaxLite has given its omnidirectional LED A-lamp a makeover. Redesigned with a rounder, more traditional bulb shape and offered at a price point under $10, MaxLite’s new Energy Star-qualified LED omnidirectional A19 lamp makes switching to LED seamless for consumers. The lamp looks just like a traditional incandescent bulb; though unlike previous omnidirectional models, the heat sink is concealed by a smooth white surface on the lower half of the lamp. MaxLite is offering the new design initially in a 60-watt equivalent — the most commonly used incandescent wattage.

Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Systems has partnered with XAL Lighting to introduce a new, proprietary integrated ceiling and lighting installation system that offers higher ceiling heights, zero plenum interference, and on-center continuous or non-continuous linear lighting layouts. The sleek, new ultra-thin LENO fixture imparts a clean, modern visual to a space and features high output, energy-efficient LED lighting, along with seamless integration with Armstrong ceiling systems.

Cali Bamboo launched its latest eco-friendly product offering: BamDeck TruOrganics 3G composite decking. Lunera Lighting Inc. introduced the new plug-and-play Lucy Lamp series of commercial interior and exterior LED replacements for high-pressure sodium (HPS) lamps. The plug-and-play Lucy Lamp immediately removes the dim yellow haze associated with outdoor HPS lighting and replaces it with near-daylight quality LED illumination. Facility operators will appreciate the minimal time, cost and effort it takes to reduce lighting energy output by 50 percent to 70 percent compared to conventional indoor or outdoor HPS lamps.

A new 5-inch aperture adjustable LED downlight is now available from Nora Lighting. The latest addition to Nora’s Diamond II Retrofit Series of LED recessed fixtures, the 5-inch model is cULus listed for use in existing IC or non-IC housing from Nora and others. The luminaire features a 10.55-watt LED module, producing 650 lumens with 90-plus CRI for more realistic color rendition. An adjustable gimbal rotates 356 degrees and adjusts from 0 degrees to 40 degrees. The 5-inch downlight is suitable for wall-washing effects, along with accent lighting and sloped ceiling applications.

Thermomass introduces ISOGLASS, a new rigid polyisocyanurate insulation for use with their precast, tilt-up and cast-in-place concrete sandwich wall insulation systems. ISOGLASS insulation combines a high-performance polyisocyanurate foam core with inorganic coated glass facers. This contributes to its strength, high R-value and moisture resistance. ISOGLASS meets ASTM C1289 Standard Specification for Faced Rigid Cellular Polyisocyanurate Thermal Insulation Board, Type II, Class 2.
