With the new L-Foot from AceClamp/PMC Industries, installers no longer have to contend with wide, L-shaped brackets that prevent complete access to mounting clamp fasteners. The L-Foot does not cover the top-mounted bolt on the AceClamp ML or impede access to the AceClamp A2 side bolt, making any adjustment or re-torquing quick and easy. The bracket’s shorter foot allows complete access to the clamp’s grounding cable channel, so the bracket doesn’t have to be removed to install the grounding wire.

Telcom & Data is pleased to introduce Wheelock’s LED strobes and horns for fire safety applications. The LED design offers the lowest current draw in the industry. Due to the low-energy requirement, energy consumption can be lowered by up to 52 percent.

Schneider Electric announced the availability of Galaxy VM, a new, three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that employs the latest energy-efficiency technology and fully integrates with Schneider Electric energy management solutions. The Galaxy VM UPS reduces energy costs through its 99 percent efficiency ECOnversion mode, which comes with input harmonic correction while combining the advantages of double conversion online and advanced ECO-mode technologies to operate at the greatest efficiency without putting data center loads at risk.

Best Energy Reduction Technologies LLC announces UL certification and immediate availability of the new Bert Inline Series. The series is the first Wi-Fi product that enables commercial buildings to measure, analyze and control anything from a group of receptacles to an entire circuit. The series joins the existing Bert Smart Plugs (110, 110M and 110 Vend) and includes three models: the Bert 220 I for circuits up to 250V and 20A; the Bert 110 I for circuits up 120V and 20A; and the Bert 110 IR with a built-in duplex receptacle for circuits up to 120V and 20A.

Acuity Brands Inc. introduces six additional designs to its line of new generation LED flush mounts from Lithonia Lighting. The new luminaires are Energy Star qualified and offer up to 84 percent energy savings over traditional incandescent sources. The LED flush mount luminaires are commercial-rated for 24-hour operation and do not require lamps. LED flush mount products are compatible with all standard boxes and come with installation hardware. The fixtures feature a low-profile, transitional design that can mount to ceilings or walls.

New LNH2 luminaires from American Electric Lighting provide a cost-effective solution to convert existing high intensity discharge (HID) security lighting systems to LED. The luminaires provide a 60 percent energy reduction while cutting maintenance costs by half to ensure very rapid payback versus HID. They are offered with optional 10- or 20-year rated solid-state photocontrols and a 3-, 5- or 7-pin photocontrol receptacle. Suggested applications include security areas, storage yards, loading and receiving areas and rural residences.

Alphabet Energy introduces a powerful thermoelectric generator, which captures exhaust heat and converts it into electricity. The company’s first product, the E1, attaches to an exhaust stack and uses Alphabet’s thermoelectric materials to convert waste heat into electricity. Thermoelectrics are unique because they are solid-state, which means the E1 operates with technology that has no moving parts, no working fluids and requires minimal maintenance.

MaxLite introduces the DesignLights Consortium (DLC)–qualified Recessed Troffer Retrofit Kit (RKT) as an affordable solution for safely upgrading fluorescent luminaires to the benefits of LED technology. Recently selected for a Department of Energy Gateway demonstration at Princeton University, the RKT enables installers to convert fluorescent troffers to an LED light source without removing the existing fixture. The kit retrofits troffers in T-grid drop ceilings common in offices, schools, health care facilities and public buildings.
