Metal roof surfaces also facilitate penetration-free attachment of the system and its auxiliary components, leaving the roof protected. PV panels are attached to metal panel ribs with a multi-purpose clip for a tight compression-hold, preventing leaks or other damages. Made for new and existing roofs, Solar Flare can be mounted on standing seam panel ribs while the Solar Flex features adhesive backing and can attach to the flat pan of roof panels. It also provides shading and ambient lighting, according to the company.
