BALTIMORE — Featuring rain gardens, a heat recovery wheel, and natural lighting in 75 percent of its offices, the Highlandtown Healthy Living Center medical office building now also proudly displays a LEED Platinum placard.

NEW YORK — The city’s second-tallest skyscraper is now one of New York’s greenest buildings.
The Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan, home to the bank’s New York operations, achieved LEED Platinum certification recently, marking the first time in U.S. history that a high-rise commercial office structure has attained LEED’s highest green building rating.

The 23,000-square-foot outdoor mall, which recently received LEED Platinum from the USGBC, uses solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling to reduce energy expenses and carbon emissions.

Denver Office Planned for Platinum Certification

DENVER – The developers of a $120 million downtown office building are applying for LEED Platinum certification.
 
If approved, the 22-story, 545,000-square-foot building owned by Westfield Co. Inc. would become the tallest, greenest office building to open in downtown Denver in 20 years, according to reports. Final LEED certification will be determined upon project completion, which is scheduled for April.
