Polaris 3DTM is Encelium’s latest lighting control software for the company’s energy control system. The application provides users with a single 360-degree, three-dimensional navigation in a multi-floor view of the entire facility’s lighting energy use, according to the company. Using Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, Polaris 3D will permit access to the system via a simple web browser, eliminating the need for software installation for increased security, faster set-up and start times, and easier integration with other web-based building control systems, according to the company.

The Archtec process involves numerical modeling of the bridge and simulation of the loading regime in order to specify a retrofitted reinforcing system. A computer model is then used to determine the load carrying capacity of the bridge in its current condition. The unit’s design combines the structural properties of standard concrete with the aesthetics of a traditional brick wall.
