TRENTON, N.J. — Registration is open for the third annual East Coast Green Conference, titled “Re: Thinking Green.”

The Conference, sponsored the Committee on the Environment of the New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-NJ), opened registration on April 13 in honor of Architecture Week, a weeklong celebration that aims increase public awareness of architecture.

The transaction was funded through a mix of cash and Noveda stock.

Green Training Center for Service Industry Unveiled

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — A hands-on facility geared towards education and training for members of the real estate service industry was unveiled in mid-May, with a focus on eco-friendly practices to apply to the workplace.

 
The O.R.A.C.L.E. facility, owned by Parsippany, N.J.-based real estate service firm Planned Companies, is designed to provide learning space for janitorial, maintenance, concierge and security service industry workers.

Benjamin Moore, Constellation Near Completion of 8,600-panel Solar Project

FLANDERS, N.J. — Benjamin Moore and Constellation Energy are nearing completion of a new solar power system that Constellation is installing on Benjamin Moore’s product development center in Flanders, N.J. The system is slated to begin electricity production in late December.
 
8,600 crystalline photovoltaic solar panels will generate 1.7 megawatts of electricity — enough to meet 68 percent of the 80,000-square foot facility’s electricity needs.
