Charles Eley

Charles Eley has been named a New Buildings Institute (NBI) Fellow. NBI Fellowship recognizes luminary energy efficiency professionals who have made a significant contribution to society through their leadership, dedication and groundbreaking work. Fellows serve as ambassadors, representing and supporting NBI’s mission and collaborating with NBI partners to significantly improve the energy efficiency of commercial buildings through research, policy development and creation of tools and solutions that enable design teams to create high performance buildings. Eley is an architect and mechanical engineer with more than 35 years of experience in energy efficient and sustainable design. He has developed a number of important publications including the Advanced Lighting Guidelines and the Lighting Fundamentals Handbook, as well as numerous other technical manuals on energy efficiency and code compliance.
